We are VFIS of Arkansas, a division of The Burrows Agency, writing insurance, training, and risk services for emergency service organizations across Arkansas and Oklahoma. Two offices, one specialty.

VFIS wrote the first insurance policy built specifically for emergency service organizations in 1969, and remains the largest provider of specialized insurance, education, and consulting to fire departments, ambulance and rescue squads, and 911 centers.
Burrows Agency is the VFIS Regional Director for Oklahoma and Arkansas. We are independently owned rather than a VFIS subsidiary, which means the underwriting, claims, and training resources come from the national program while the people you deal with are local.

These are not aspirations. They are the reasons departments renew with us year after year, and the standard we hold ourselves to.
Request a QuoteCoverage is explained in writing, in plain English, before you bind. Your board should be able to read a policy summary and understand it without an agent in the room.
We quote coverage only after walking your building, inspecting your apparatus, and reviewing your mutual aid agreements.
We invite you to reach out for a coverage review, a plain-English comparison, or a conversation about what your department needs next.
Driver training, online courses, and instructor visits are built into the program, not offered as an upsell. A department with fewer losses is a department that pays less.
We live and work in Arkansas and Oklahoma. You get a named advocate who answers the phone, shows up at the station, and stands beside you from the first quote through final settlement.
